The Street Twin is one of five new Bonnevilles that Triumph Motor Cycles is introducing into the Australian market during 2016. The new models are a result of the company’s extensive research, development and engineering program which has included both the bikes and the range of accessories.

New High Torque Engine
One of the major highlights for most Bonneville buffs will be the exciting new 900cc engine, air-cooled, parallel twin 8 valve engine, which delivers high torque – a peak of 80Nm at 3200rpm. High torque with high style, with clearly an impressively high level of attention to detailing in the engine looks and finishing. The look is refined yet sharp, ideal to match the responsiveness of the new engine and with the new chassis and suspension, riders can anticipate a truly engaging on-road experience. The Street Twin has a five speed gear box, twin exhausts and impressive chassis with 41mm forks and twin shocks.
All About The Ride
Everything about the new Street Twin is about the ride, both in comfort and technology. Ergonomically superb with lower seat height and rider-focused control with anti-locking braking system, two-level traction control and an electronic package which includes a Ride By Wire throttle.
You can keep an eye on the electronics on the multi-function LCD display, located below the speedo. It shows a range of details including clock, two trip settings, traction control, servicing, gear position, clock and most importantly two fuel consumption indicators– average and instant.
A display which will impress with the significant fuel consumption improvement on the Street Twin, 36% according to Triumph. That’s a real technology triumph.
Original Style, Contemporary Detail
Triumph have kept the silhouette ‘youthful’ with minimal bodywork but maximum style for a modern classic. Cast wheels, its own fuel tank design, contemporary graphics and an exciting colour range all add to the effect.
But for the rider who really likes to make a statement, the Street Twin’s appeal lies in the vast customisability options. There are in excess of 150 new accessories to select from or take advantage of the company’s three ‘Inspiration Kits’ where the selection has been made for you.
The Scrambler, Brat Tracker and Urban packages offer less expensive options to accessorising and individualising your ride compared with selecting individual items from the catalogue.
